The Rink
Located at JCube, The Rink is Singapore’s first and only Olympic-size ice skating rink measuring in at 60 by 30 metres, offering tropical dwellers a chance to get their bearings on ice. Amateurs strap on Italian-imported skates cobbled together from heat-preserving material and hardened steel blades for individual classes, guided by cheery Penguin, Seal, or Snowman skating aids. Private bookings can be arranged if one wishes to have the place to themselves, but more sociable beings can join the whirling and twirling at skate parties like the twice-weekly Disco Night on Ice, or dive into ice hockey, speed skating, and ice curling, while being cheered on by onlookers watching from the 460-seat gallery.
